Royal SMP Logo – Royal SMP is the unique and the only one floating crane along Ayerwarddy River. The crane able to lift up cargo up to 50 metric ton which is the most capable crane in upper Myanmar.
SMP has been provided wood unloading assistance to Yellow Green Red Monastery. This is part of the port initiatives to give back to the society by provide assistance in material handling.
On 3rd to 7th Apr 2018, First Aid Training Programme has been conducted by the Mingyan Red Cross Society co-organized by MSMP EHSS Team. The training provided first aid knowledge and techniques to the port workers and village’s representatives, especially in handling emergency situation and injury.
SMP has been successfully unloaded 8000 bags (400 ton) of yellow corn. The unloading operation with crane was very efficient.
The Opening ceremony of Deheus Feedmill Factory in Myotha Indudtrial Park has been successfully launched on 29th May 2018 evening. The event attended by Myanmar government officers, cargo suppliers, logistic companies and partners.
On 10 Nov 2017, a group of 80 students from Chindwin College visited to Mandalay Semeikhon Port. The port officers welcome the group to the port and explained the cargo operation, port facilities and vision of the port to the student.
The student feel impressed with the port vision to develop as the regional logistic hub in upper Myanmar.
On 23rd to 25th Oct 2017, Mandalay Semeikhon Port having joint meeting with SA Marine in Yangon. The team has met with various partner in Yangon including Yangon Domestic Port, International Port operators, Inland Water Transport Department, logistic and shipping partners.
In the middle of October, MSMP EHSS team start a series meeting and dialogue session with the villagers nearby. The community engagement programme will be continues project and led by new appointed Head of EHSS, Mr Min Lwin Oo. The programme aim to listen to the residents and part of the corporate social responsibility to assist resident on living improvement including to look for job opportunity, teaching English for younger generation etc.
On 23 August 2017, MMID and IFC signed JV agreement for development and management for Mandalay Semeikhon Port. The joint venture strengthen the Mandalay Semeikhon Port’s ability towards the vision to be the integrated logistic hub in upper Myanmar.
On 17 August, The Ministry of Planning and Finance officers visited to Mandalay Semeikhon Port. The port management explained the operation concept and Mandalay Semeikhon Port’s vision to the officers. The officers also pay a visit to Semeikhon village to engage with the villagers.
The MOPF officers’ arrival warmly received by the Mandalay Semeikhon Port Management and Semeikhon villagers.
On 13 May 2017, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) team has been visited to Mandalay Semeikhon Port. The team discussed for the river way transportation and possible cooperation in the coming future.
On 11 May 2017, SA Marine and Mandalay Semeikhon Port visited to Japfa Comfeed Myanmar’s Head Office and Myanmar International Terminals Thilawa, Yangon to discuss for the containerised cargo shipment via Inland water transport.
